Speaking in the exclusive interview On Supa's Kitchen On Angel Tv with the host Ohemaa Woye Supa, the Atinka TV presenter shared her childhood experience.
She said growing up as an orphan, 'I was told my mother pass away when I was 8 years old followed by my Dad, so I didn't get the opportunity to grow in the family home with mum, Dad, and Siblings.
I came to Accra somewhere in 2001 through my senior sister, I was in class 6 then, unfortunately, things didn't go well as my sister wish for me, so I had to drop out of school and sell ice water at the Achimota station to assist my sister to take care of me.
Growing up I have always admired cooperative people anytime I come across one, so I determined in my heart that no matter the curriculum I will fight to go back to school to achieve my aim of becoming a Cooperative lady. Afia Kwarteng Said, She continues learning on her own, through the church I attend is ICGC, I deliberately chose friends who are educated to associate myself that helped me to go back to school at 25 years matured students. In 2015 after I sat for my entrance exams at the Ghana Institute of Journalism.
I was offered admission to study Diploma in Communication, I continue with my degree and now pursuing a master's in public relations at the same university.
I have kept this a secret to myself for over a year now but I feel a strong edge to share to encourage the young people out there never to lose hope. With God all things are possible.
